03/03/2018 – Photo Theme: The Berliner Dom
Although the winter temperatures here hinder prolonged outdoor photography, they do however present us with the opportunity to explore some of the indoor optical treasures Berlin has to offer.
This week: The Berliner Dom
Situated on the Museumsinsel this is one of Berlin’s most recognisable landmarks.
Not only is there the ornate church interior to admire, but a convoluted climb up through the church eventually ends on the roof, which offers 360° panoramic views over Berlin, and for those wishing to experience some gothic horror, there is the crypt of the House of Hohenzollern in the basement vaults.
